This groovy record shop idea culminated nearly ten years ago and has remained strong as a distant yet sparkling star of hope to revitalize the vintage Record Store of the 70's. This site serves as the provisional venue for the StellarRock Record Shoppe that will someday "break on through to the other side" and become the oasis of music lover's dreams.
Along with the remembrance of past generations, StellarRock follows the path and journey of music evolution. Within the last several years, a counter-convergence and backlash to main stream music ignited an "Independent" culture. This alternative sound and style produced an eclectic, undefined genre for the 21st Century. A musical enlightenment brought the masses of garage and basement bands into the limelight and pushed the 5-star big money-makers to the back burner. This yoke of freedom from the dull, overplayed radio rock incited bands to rethink the major labels and forced technology to side with the under dog.
Indie music and StellarRock join together in this blogspot and forum; a comprehensive, collective channel to continue fueling the revolution and bring music aficionados together in one "Stellar" online site.
